The Refless is the Supreme ruler of the Inbit.
She can see through the eyes of her children and talk to them telepathically. She either respects the autonomy of her more evolved children, or is unable to do the same to them.
She is able to evolve her children remotely with the Hive's "brain" as an intermediary.
